A Few of My Favorite Blogs:
Hello there! It is Thursday- a very somber Thursday filled with memories and questions of where were you? Did you know anyone? A lot of gratefulness for the bravery displayed that fateful September 11, 2001- 13 years ago!
I remember where I was! I had gotten up early to watch the usual early morning tv with our oldest daughter who was 2 at the time! I was pregnant with our second daughter in November. We were getting ready for work when our phone started ringing like crazy! We hadn’t seen the news due to the fact that we were watching Sesame Street! I ended up staying home from work that day and kept my team updated on the happenings of the news! It was so surreal! No one could believe that was truly happening! I was a blubbering mess from being pregnant and watching the news. Once all of the reports came in about people calling loved ones knowing they were not going to be coming home- I was a mess! I prayed all day for the people involved and our world!
On another note- I wanted to pass along some of my favorite blogs for Gluten free and Paleo. These people are an inspiration to me and I truly love their recipes!
Danielle Walker- Against All Grain
She is an amazing lady with a beautiful story! I love her attitude and recipes! One of our favorite recipes from Danielle is her Real Deal Chocolate Chip Cookies! Our kids love them- even our oldest daughter who doesn’t like to eat Paleo or Gluten Free…(teenagers :))
Juli Bauer and George Bryant- PaleOMG and Civilized Caveman
I put these two together because I love the cookbook they collaborated on. It is called The Paleo Kitchen. One of our favorite recipes from them is the Pancakes! I get requests every week to make these for our girls! I add blueberries or chocolate chips (Dark chocolate above 70% or Enjoy Life mini chips). If we feel like having some dairy, I will add a container of Ricotta Cheese. YUMM!!!!!
She is a busy working Mom! I love her recipes and her humor! One of our favorite recipes is the Dam Fine Chicken! In our house we changed it to Darn Good Chicken (Girls thought we were swearing lol) But it is always a crowd pleaser!!
She is a busy Mom and makes eating Paleo look easy! I love her cookbook on Italian Cuisine! Her Spinach and Salmon Salad is Delicious!
There are many blogs out there that offer delicious recipes, shopping lists, and helpful hints! I hope you enjoy some of my favorites!
