May was a blur!
May is usually one of the busier months for our family but this year it went by fast and it’s still a bit of a blur. I tried to stop and enjoy the moments as the events of May went on, but I think I might have missed a few along the way! May starts off with a bit of sadness for me as I think of my Mom on her birthday and Mother’s Day. Mother’s Day is also a blessing as I am Mom to two awesome ladies.
Next up was my birthday week of celebration. I am always thankful for my husband and girls for making me feel so special, my wonderful friends and family for celebrating with me. We had fun eating, dancing, singing and of course a few glasses of vino. My girlfriends decorated our yard for me. It warmed my heart and made me laugh. Even when I picked up 105 wine bottles from our yard.
Monica, our youngest daughter got her drivers permit so we have been practicing driving! We told her that if she can drive my expedition she can drive any vehicle so she is my chauffeur for the summer. May was sometimes a little stressful as I forgot what it is like to drive with a new driver. She is getting better with every drive!
Our oldest daughter Claudia, graduated from high school! We are so proud of her and excited to see what God has in store for her! Family and friends came into town from Canada, Texas and Wisconsin. We shed a few tears looking back at her high school career and wished for a few minutes she was 3 again. We had a fun celebration our backyard with all of our friends and family. I’m pretty sure it’s a night she won’t forget anytime soon. She’s off to ASU in the fall to study Mechanical Engineering.
I made yummy food for our company and forgot to take photos of most of it. Sadly, my brian was in hostess mode and not in recipe posting mode. Smoking and grilling were a hit and everyone hung out in the backyard to enjoy the sunshine and most days were still below 100. We ate at grad parties and I am once again thankful for my Nima sensor. Some of the food along the way was safe and some was not. I am super happy we got to go to Jewel’s bakery for breakfast and picked up cupcakes for the party. I am thankful that June is a quiet month here and we will be working on getting some new content posted. You will be seeing cooking videos coming soon!
