Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! I love the pretty decor that comes along with this Hallmark holiday. I also believe that we should tell the people we love how we feel about them every day because life is short and I don’t want to miss out on expressing my love for my friends and family.
Here’s a bit of history about Valentine’s Day that we learned while we were in Italy a few years ago. St. Valentine married young children and single soldiers because King Claudius decreed that no married soldiers could go to war. St. Valentine saved the lives of many people by performing these marriages. King Claudius put St. Valentine in jail. While in jail, he met the jailor’s daughter. She was blind. He restored her sight with by a miracle. The jailor converted to Christianity. St. Valentine sent the girl a love letter and that was how the tradition of sending love letters on Valentine’s Day started. Valentine was sadly still executed.

I am in love with this super cute heart shaped pot from Le Creuset! I have a bit of a Le Creuset shopping problem anyhow, but the heart shapes that come in different colors are adorable!
There are a few other Valentine’s Day items that I love included as well.
