Gluten Free Watermelon Margaritas

Gluten free watermelon margaritas are easy to make and super refreshing anytime it’s margarita time! This is great especially since tequila is naturally gluten free!

Two glasses full of watermelon margaritas.

It’s the weekend!  A perfect time for margaritas!  The sun is out!  It is not too hot yet…but this is Arizona so we know what is coming!  It won’t be long until I am wishing I was somewhere cooler!

We love watermelon, especially in the summer!  I usually cut up a watermelon and we eat it all, however, this drink is perfect if you have any leftover watermelon as well!

If you didn’t want to add the Tequila it is very yummy by itself as watermelon juice!  Super yummy and probably good for you considering all of the vitamins!  I know you can buy watermelon juice at the store but homemade is so easy and only takes 5 minutes! Enjoy!

I love to make these watermelon margaritas whenever taco night needs a cocktail!

HERE’S HOW TO MAKE THEM:

Remove the rind from your watermelon and cut it into chunks.

Peel and slice some limes.

Peel and slice some lemons.

Melt some honey in the microwave, or use the sweetener of your choice.

Add watermelon to a high-powered blender and blend.  I like to strain out some of the pulp first before adding the other ingredients.  If you like it pulpy, skip this step.

Add in the lemons, limes, honey, tequila, and orange liquor.  Blend again.

Serve it over ice in a salt-rimmed glass!

Cheers!

I hope you love these watermelon margaritas as much as we do.  Feel free to add more or less of the tequila and orange liquor, or leave it out completely for a nice virgin cocktail!

Sometimes I like to add in a splash of bubbly water for a little fizz! Makes me feel fancy and I who doesn’t like to feel fancy sometimes?  Here’s The recipe for my classic Margs in case you want to try other flavors!

As Always,

Best Wishes for Gluten Free Dishes!

XO,

Michelle
